A driver of a personal vehicle in Mexico City was chased and rammed by two SUVs with armed men onboard in the Del Valle neighborhood, Benito Juárez borough. The events occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, May 3, 2025, causing surprise and unease among other motorists caught in the midst of the chase. The attackers, traveling in a white SUV and another larger vehicle, triggered a scene of tension and traffic chaos in the area.
The armed men attempted to stop the driver of a Nissan Versa, but upon noticing the long weapons they were carrying, he decided to escape. After the review, nothing was found that linked the driver to criminal activities. The three involved vehicles sustained severe material damage, and according to reporter Joel Valdez, the insurers will have to cover the damages caused during the pursuit.
The driver’s reaction sparked a chase that ended in collisions between several vehicles. Valdez mentioned that the Versa driver panicked upon seeing the armed men and tried to flee. These individuals claimed to be from the Mexico City Investigation Police, although their SUVs bore no logos or official markings, which heightened the tension among witnesses.
Despite attempts to escape, the driver was caught and intercepted by the SUVs that rammed him until he was forced to stop. At that moment, the occupants got out with long weapons and threatened the driver, creating a highly dangerous situation.
